Behind the Scenes: Wendy Beauty Shoot

Hey everyone! Last month I worked on a shoot and created this simple smokey eye look for my model Wendy. The Smokey Eye is one of my favorite looks to do on clients. There are many ways to pull it off but the key to this look is the blending. Whether you use black, midnight blue, plum, or a dark emerald green as your base shadow, the colors should be blended to the point of not being able to see when one color begins and the other ends.

In this particular look, I used a dark gray soft shimmer shadow as her base color and blended it with a matte brown shadow about two shades darker than her skin tone in the crease. I also added lash extensions and shaded her brows to finish the eye look. I contoured her face with cream foundations to highlight her complexion and define her cheekbones. Lastly, on the lips I used a nude demi-matte (slightly glossy) lipstick to keep it simple. Here's the finished look:
